Update as of May 2, 2026 from Teri Conneally Mahoney (from Facebook post)
Good Morning. Hope you’re all keeping well. Can I get a number please of how many of you are coming to Kilgolagh? Just for food, drinks etc. So looking forward to meeting you all this July.
Update as of May 1, 2026 from John McNally
For our Mahon/Drumshanbo tour, most sites are within about a half-mile radius, so many of us can walk. If you have mobility limitations or will be traveling with small children, please let me know so we can plan appropriately and determine the size of the minibus we may need.
Also, for the buffets at both the Landmark and Kilronan, we’ve been asked to provide the ages of children attending in order to confirm pricing—so please send those details along as well.
This tour is shaping up to be something special, with stories woven throughout—from life on the Mahon farm and the tradition of American Wakes, to births, baptisms, graves, local history, and family rebel tales at the local pub.
July 29th at the Landmark will be a true meet-and-greet. After a local cultural presentation, we’ll pass the mic so everyone can introduce themselves, share their family connection, and tell a short story.
July 30th at Kilronan will be our music and talent night. Following some local music, we’ll have a sing-along led by Joe Houlihan and an open mic for anyone who’d like to share a song, poem, story—or whatever they’d like to bring.
Please email John McNally (mcnally.realtor@gmail.com) what events and how may will be attending each event.
